Here is the statements from Bermaz management :- In U.S market, Mazda is conducting a recall on Mazda3 2.0L and Mazda 5 cars manufactured from 1 April 2007 to 30 November 2008. However, the current (new) Mazda3 Sport and other Mazda models are not affected. Please be assured that a RECALL is not required in Malaysia as there have not been any safety related occurrences to date. There may however be some isolated cases, when drivers may experience heaviness in the steering system. When this happens, the driver can still steer the car with a little more effort. We acknowledge that the recent press release by Mazda Corporation to RECALL cars in the USA may cause anxiety for some Mazda owners. Recognizing the safety factor and to give assurance to our Mazda customers, Bermaz Motor will initiate a service campaign to check all Mazda 3 and Mazda 5 sold between May 01 2007 to December 30 2008.
